edit: I'd also like to add that unlike Getae and Tylis, Odryssian Kingdom has it ESPECIALLY difficult because they have one of the smallest rosters in the game their top tier units are neat but it takes time to get there. My Odryssian Kingdom campaign was a slog until I was able to break out of that little Baltic corner they put you in. Sparta is a safe start, but extremely constrained, and there's a fair bit of luck involved (that is, does someone take out Athens for you or not? I got lucky there) Parthia was more precarious in my experience, I had the Massagetae coming at me from the north and a lot of mutually friendly factions everywhere else in the territory I actually wanted. I guess I can see Seleucids going south if your immediate eastern flank flips on you, but on the north side you have walled settlements at Antioch and Tarsus you can reinforce with a partial or cheap army while you deal with the Egyptians. For a "Greek-Thracian synthesis culture" you'd think they might field Thracian hoplites at some point I mean, I dunno, maybe you can field a solid skirmisher army and pretend you're the Lusitani's red-headed stepchildren or something but I'm not sure that would work either. Yeah I balked at my last Odrysian attempt when I realized you have to make entire armies work with Thracian warriors for an infantry line. Of course this is somewhat subjective our experiences inform our opinions but my experience has shown that Rome, Sparta, Parthia are the easiest campaigns I've had. They can easily be a powerful faction but third-easiest? I have to strongly disagree. Surrounded by potential enemies, being on bad terms with Egpyt. I was also summarily annihilated by the Suebi (pretty sure if twas them) as the Boii when playing on I don't know about third easier, Seleucids have one of the roughest starts next to Carthage. Even on normal you're going to struggle as your glass-cannon units take loads and loads of casualities, either stalling your campaign momentum or bankrupting you by merging / re-recruiting lost units. IMHO any of the campaigns that start you off with a single settlement and no provincial capital is going to be a challenge.
